Rainy Sundays are code for going out to brunch, reading the news/The New Yorker, and hitting up the Pasadena antique centers.
That is what I have done today...and watched the Lakers lose- but that's a different story. Phil Jackson would be a great dad. Pau Gasol looks like a llama and Blake is a scrub.
I don't really have a point to this post but here are se7en things I'm thinking right now. 1. I've begun a new art project. "Sugar Cuba." Map of Cuba made of sugar cubes.
2.Watched the documentary "Wattstax" the other night as part of this weekly Cinematheque. Great music. Richard Pryor is hilarious yet extremely prophetic. This song is dope.
3. Very angry I missed the showing of "Lemmy" in LA- but I strongly encourage everyone to go and see it if it's in your area- and you're down for that kinda thing. Hilarious article in LA Weekly here.
4. Things in my dorm refrigerator: goat cheese, parsnips, Fat Tire, saffron/pistachio ice cream (freezer, actually), grapefruit juice, Moretti, strawberries, red wine, milk. Essentials.
5. Currently sitting on the couch I purchased yesterday. Apparently it's a collectable "Knoll" design piece bought from Nick Metropolis on La Brea. Super cool outside store which carries everything from life size Ronald McDonalds to giant replicas of the Hollywood sign.
6. So I work at the Viper Room writing for their blog. I know. Strange. But my first article is up here.
7. I really want to write a college living book: The Bougie Kid's Guide to College. Ways to skirt around the doldrums of college. I was talking to one of my friend's about the different between going to school in LA and going to school on campus. The former is way better and anyone can do it.
