Rain obviously yields movies. Both good and bad.
Starship Troopers, Troll 1&2, or better yet Silent Night Deadly Night 1&2, Killer Clowns from Outerspace, Inframan! The list goes on...
However, I decided to forgo the above and finally went to go see Black Swan. In the pouring rain I drove to the dreaded Americana in Glendale which really got me into that feeling of Christmas- consumerism and tacky Rick Caruso architecture! Bah!
(But I had free tickets to the theater so I bared the weight)
I had some time to kill so I followed what to me was the star of Bethlehem- bright lights shining in the distance- which only turned out to be the Forever 21 or whatever the hell they call it these days. The lights were obscenely bright and not to mention the rows of neon clothing traced from something from the 80s.
Trendy does not equate attractive.
Left the store empty handed nonetheless; however...I will say there were a couple decent looking basic pieces spotted for cheap...
The funniest part of all: I kept walking through the store and everything seemed so familiar- then I realized- the trendiest trend of them all- "try society" designer clothes!
That beige leather mini and clean white oxford from the fall Celine line: in pleather on the manniquen for $21.
Black suede heels an almost exact replica of Miu Miu pumps of last winter.
Maybe there's nothing to say here, nothing new at least, does it cheapen designer clothes- knocking them off for the "common man" to wear? Should that asymmetrical leather dress by Michael Kors be made into a pleather replica sold by Zara and not worn by someone the likes of Angelina Jolie?
I'll come back to this- because it interests me- and I didn't even talk about how sick nasty Black Swan was and how I have a huge girl crush on Mila Kunis!
WORD!
